Zhaleh - embodied arts
As a practitioner of embodied arts and deep listening, I am attuned to subtleties and offer skillful guidance to reveal truth and authenticity. My ancestry provides a rich landscape of inspiration as a second generation Iranian of Jewish and Irish descent. I am committed to fostering a culture of possibility guided by a belief in people’s inherent birthright for healing and creative expression.
My approach is trauma responsive and informed by a healing justice framework that uplifts ancestral knowledge, welcomes intuition, and tenderly transforms internalized oppression. I have decades of experience leading the world renowned techniques of Theatre of the Oppressed and Playback Theatre to generate dialogue to address conflict, build community, and support personal and collective healing. I also intertwine my gifts as a ritual theatre artist to create intentional spaces for personal inquiry, prayer, and cultivating the sacred witness. With Embodied Empathy I offer a pathway to a simple yet profound deep listening practice that engages the creative spirit and cultivates compassion while honoring the need to be seen and heard.
Through each healing arts interaction, I bring a grounded spirit of playfulness with a commitment to dismantle and heal the impacts of systemic oppression while celebrating our shared humanity. I bring these gifts to you with great joy.

Marisa Withey Byrne - Sexual Healing Facilitator
Marisa, or "Sasa", Withey Byrne is a light bearer for the global sexual healing revolution. She devotes herself to the transformative, humbling work of uplifting sacred sexual wholeness. As a “light-bearer,” she is dedicated to easing the isolation and suffering of survivors of sexual trauma, supporting people– especially youth– to develop and sustain healthy and holistic relationships with their sexuality, and to educate and hold healing space for those who have caused sexual harm. An incest survivor, she has found healing through focusing on familial, community, global, and self-restoration. Her offerings reflect her experience as an advocate, sex educator, council carrier, ceremonialist and rite of passage facilitator. Her Bolivian and Irish/German ancestry, deep connection to Pachamama, and commitment to restorative and transformative justice shape how she shows up to her work and to the world.
